Getting out of bed at 6:10am in the middle of winter, isn't very nice. But arriving at a nice spot in the old hillside suburbs overlooking table mountain, makes it all worth while (but it doesn't make you any warmer) As i began climbing onto an oblivious, sleeping person's garage roof and setting up my tripod it was still dark, but after a while i could see the sky finally starting to turn blue-purple. I started taking a few shot just to pass the time, although they came out terribly underexposed

Well then the sun finally rose and this was the only part of the city that wasnt really heavily covered in mist, so i didnt have any real options. Not that i'm complaining about the shot, haha, actually i really like it for a second effort with digital. Its just that it seems so hard to get up in the morining but when you get home and import it into photoshop, your so glad you actually did especially if its a shot of my hometown Bellville. I really love all the memories and i can't help but feel nostalgic when im sitting here in Stellenbosch (i'm studing here) on a computer posting this image. I love going back and just see how much it's change in a matter of a few weeks.
